For the 2015-2016 school year, all students from 6th to 12th grade will be in a 1:1 digital environment. Families can choose to allow their child to bring their own device from home, or opt into the district rental program.
All students from 3rd -12th grade have a Google account through our district Google Apps for Education status. This account allows students to create, store, and access their documents anywhere there is an internet connection. Students will be able to share documents with each other to work collaboratively and upload those documents to a curriculum resource system. Teachers may send students calendar reminders and e-mails for communication purposes.
All students from 3rd -12th grade have a Google e-mail. Unit 5 students will only be able to e-mail teachers with the @myunit5.org domain. Students will not be able to e-mail each other or others outside the @myunit5.org domain. Students will be able to access this e-mail at home by using the link mail.myunit5.org or signing into Gmail using their district Google account information.
