    Eagle Nation Track and Field

    The Evans Track and Field season is right around the corner!  Here is important information for those interested in participating on the team:

    • Parent Meeting: Thursday, March 2nd at 6:30pm, Evans Gymnasium
    • First Day of Practice: Monday, March 6th after school, Evans Track

    REMINDER: No student will be allowed to participate in the track and field program without a gold slip.  More information about what is needed for a gold slip can be found here.

  • EJHS Book Fair
     
    Scholastic Book Fair - in IMC 2/28 - 3/3, online 2/22 - 3/7
     

    The IMC 's Scholastic Book Fair will be held Tuesday, February 28th to Friday, March 3rd. Literature classes will visit. 

     
    You may also order online from February 22nd - March 7th. Items ordered online will be delivered free-of-charge to school and Mrs. Glatt will distribute them to students. 
     
    During the Book Fair, we will be raising money for Scholastic's charity All for Books. Students may purchase raffle tickets for 50 cents each to win an Amazon Kindle Fire tablet. All proceeds will benefit the charity.

  • Beyond the Books Celebration

    Come celebrate learning and 25 years of Beyond the Books here in the Evans gym on Saturday, February 25 from 1-4om.  Past winners will showcase their projects and you can climb our rock wall.  Check out this flyer for more information.

  • 8th Graders Interested in U-High
     
    Attention parents of current 8th graders, who are interested in applying to U-High for the 2017-2018 fall enrollment, you will need to complete a Unit 5 Record Release Form and pay a $3 transcript fee in the Guidance Office.
     
    Your student may stop by the Guidance Office for their Record Release form or access it here.

    My Stop is a web-based application available to all Unit 5 parents to access live bus GPS information using a smartphone, tablet or computer and securely view the current location of their child’s bus on routes.     Go to the jostens.com website and enter Evans Junior High.
    By buying one now, you ensure that your child will get a yearbook in May.  We will have some extras - but they sell FAST.  Please buy a yearbook full of junior high memories.

  • Promise Council - Donations Needed
     
    Our outstanding teachers at Evans Junior High School work daily with our students to provide the best learning experience possible. School supplies are needed throughout the year for the various projects and assignments to support the learning.  Many times teachers purchase these supplies for students in need.  The Promise Council would like to support our teachers and students by providing the supplies currently needed in the classrooms. We appreciate your donation!

  • Citizens Advisory Council

    The district is going to see some exciting changes with CAC this year. The group will no longer be preparing research projects for the Board and instead will become a focus group to gather feedback about the District.  The CAC will meet 6 times this school year and there will be no outside work required.  The district is hopeful this change will help encourage participation. If you believe that you'd be interested in representing EJHS on this council, please contact Mr. Chapman via email - chapmant@myunit5.org.
